Los Angeles Galaxy edge past Vancouver Whitecaps

Robbie Keane's goal in the 47th minute proves enough for Los Angeles Galaxy to defeat Vancouver Whitecaps 1-0 at home.

Los Angeles Galaxy have registered their second successive win in the MLS with a narrow 1-0 success over Vancouver Whitecaps at home.

Robbie Keane's goal in the 47th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides at Stubhub Center in Carson, California.

The former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur striker found the target from close range as he turned in Stefan Ishizaki's cross.

This was the second defeat in a row for the Whitecaps, who had gone down 2-1 at home to Colorado Rapids last weekend.
