Los Angeles Galaxy continue away slump at Colorado Rapids

Hendry Thomas and Dillon Powers score in a 2-0 win for Colorado Rapids as Los Angeles Galaxy lose their seventh away game in eight.

Los Angeles Galaxy's poor away form has continued with a defeat to Colorado Rapids at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

Hendry Thomas headed the hosts in front on 41 minutes, shortly after Nick LaBrocca had struck the crossbar from long range.

Dillon Powers completed the scoring early in the second half with a crisp finish following Edson Buddle's perfectly-weighted through-ball.

Galaxy have now lost seven of their last eight games on the road, while Colorado are unbeaten in six MLS matches.
