Preview: Kasimpasa vs. Trabzonspor - prediction, team news, lineups

Sports Mole previews Friday's Turkish Super Lig clash between Kasimpasa and Trabzonspor, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Kasimpasa will be attempting to continue their undefeated start to the Turkish Super Lig when they host Trabzonspor, who have not won since the opening day.

The visitors head into Friday's match off the back of two defeats which has led to them slipping down into 13th place, sitting just a point above the relegation zone.

Match preview

Kasimpasa have proven to be difficult to break down at the start of the new campaign, which is why they head into this particular match on the back of an undefeated run in the opening three games.

Kemal Ozdes guided his men to a strong opening-day victory against Ankaragucu, but since that point, his team have been unable to secure three points which is something they will want to change on Friday.

Kasimpasa have undergone consecutive draws, but last weekend was a hard-fought point that the team had to wait until late on to achieve.

Claudio Winck found the back of the net in the 81st minute of the game to secure the 1-1 result, and now the focus will be on kicking on and getting back to winning ways.

Three points has the possibility of taking Kasimpasa to the top of the Turkish Super Lig if other results go in their favor, providing plenty of incentive.

For the visitors, they will be equally as keen to take all three points considering the fact that they are sat just above the relegation zone at the moment.

While it is still very early days in the new campaign, avoiding the bottom four will be important for confidence not only within the group but also amongst the fans as well.

Trabzonspor did pick up three points on the opening day of the campaign when they defeated Antalyaspor 1-0, but that was then followed by a 2-0 and 3-2 defeat.

Goals from Anastasios Bakasetas and Enis Destan were not enough last weekend, but the improved performance offensively is something that the team will be aiming to repeat this time around.

Last season Trabzonspor struggled away from home, picking up only five of their 17 wins on the road, and fixing that situation could see the club improve upon their sixth-placed finish last season.

Team News

Mamadou Fall is expected to lead the line for Kasimpasa in this fixture on his own, with the hosts having used a 4-2-3-1 formation to good effect so far this season.

Haris Hajradinovic has been a stalwart for the team as of late, and that is why he should retain his place behind Fall in the attacking midfield role.

Mislav Orsic is currently on the shelf for the visitors due to the fact he has a ruptured cruciate ligament, but that is something Trabzonspor will deal with until next year.

Destan will be hoping his goal from the bench during Trabzonspor's last performance will be enough to push him into the starting lineup this time, though.

Kasimpasa possible starting lineup:
Gianniotis; Winck, Omeruo, Ozcan, Aksu; Kara, Gul, Ben Ouanes, Hajradinovic, Gomis; Fall

Trabzonspor possible starting lineup:
Cakir; Larsen, Denswil, Benkovic, Elmali; Kourbelis; Visca, Bakasetas, Omur, Teklic; Bozok

SM words green background

We say: Kasimpasa 2-1 Trabzonspor

This fixture will see two teams with mixed starts to the season compete, and the recent form of each club is something that should give Kasimpasa the advantage.

The hosts head into this match with an undefeated start to the campaign, and considering the poor away form of their opponents that is something that could continue.
