Preview: Juventus vs. Chievo

Sports Mole previews the Serie A match between leaders Juventus and Chievo.

Juventus will be hoping to extend their unbeaten league record to 11 games when they host Chievo on Sunday afternoon.

The Serie A leaders, whose one defeat in 15 matches came on penalties to Napoli, have opened up a five-point gap over second-placed Roma in recent weeks.

The Vecchia Signora are currently on a hot streak in front of goal with 13 goals being netted in their last three outings, while striker Carlos Tevez is shouldering much of the responsibility in the final third with six goals in five games.

The Argentine requires help from teammate Alvaro Morata, but the former Real Madrid man is expected to retain his place in attack.

Chievo haven't conceded more than two goals in a game since October 18, but they will need all of their defensive solidarity to continue that run in Turin.

Scoring at the other end of the pitch remains a problem though, with just eight goals coming in their last 10 matches.

The Gialloblu currently sit just outside of the relegation zone in 17th position, but they were unfortunate to lose to Fiorentina last week after conceding a 94th-minute goal.

Coach Rolando Maran could make an alteration in midfield, with Ruben Botta coming in to replace Valter Birsa.
