Former Juventus coach Marcello Lippi believes that the club should still include their 2005 and 2006 Serie A triumphs among their trophy haul, despite the titles being stripped for match-fixing.
The victories were officially erased out of Italian football's history books following the infamous Calciopoli scandal, but Lippi feels that they should include the championships after the club won their 29th official Scudetto on Sunday.
"Rightly Juventus and its fans think that the 31 championships have been won on the field," Lippi told GR Parlamento.
"If someone has seen fit to remove the two championships, then it is another matter, but the people of Juventus know they were won on the field."
Sunday's title win was their second successive Serie A triumph.
