Juventus defender Martin Caceres has insisted that there should be no excuses for his side's defeat to Roma.
The Biaconeri fell down to a Francesco Totti strike in a 1-0 defeat away at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday night.
The result means that Napoli could potentially close the gap at the top of the league to just two points, though Caceres has said that Juve will look to correct their mistakes in the coming week.
"I didn't like the game," Caceres told reporters. "We were not in our best shape and when that happens mistakes are made.
"I don't know if we were tired or what, but we mustn't look for excuses. We are Juventus. When you wear this jersey, excuses are of no use.
"Now we must work during the week and try to understand what went wrong."
Caceres joined Juventus on a permanent deal from Sevilla in 2012.
