Report: Ivory Coast to name new manager before end of month

A report claims that Ivory Coast will have a new manager in place by the end of the month following the Elephants' recent group stage exit at the World Cup.

Ivory Coast will reportedly have a new manager in place by the end of the month following the recent departure of Sabri Lamouchi.

The 42-year-old, who took up the role in 2012, resigned following the Elephants' group stage exit at the World Cup.

A five-man committee, including former coach Yeo Martial and former captain Cyrille Domoraud, will come up with a list of five potential candidates for the position, according to Super Sport.

Former Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni claimed earlier this week that he will take over as manager of the African side.

Ivory Coast will begin qualification for the 2015 African Nations Cup in September.
