Preview: Ipswich Town vs. Blackburn Rovers

Sports Mole casts its eye forward to Tuesday night in Suffolk as Ipswich Town host Blackburn Rovers in the Championship.

Two teams looking to move towards the Championship playoff places meet on Tuesday night as Ipswich Town welcome Blackburn Rovers to Portman Road.

Both sides go into the match on the back of 1-0 wins on Saturday, with Ipswich squeezing past Charlton Athletic for their second straight away win, while Blackburn ended Leeds United's three-game winning streak at Ewood Park.

The pair are level on points in the table but Ipswich are two places better off in 11th because of their superior goal difference.

Tractor Boys manager Mick McCarthy should go with the same lineup that came past Charlton, although Luke Hyam is pushing for a return to the starting lineup after recovering from a stiff back.

McCarthy's opposite number Gary Bowyer has a tougher decision on who to select with both Lee Williamson and new loan signing Rudy Gestede fit again to start.

Williamson was replaced by Chris Taylor against Leeds and he took home the man of the match award, so should keep his place.

Gestede could join former Ipswich youngster Jordan Rhodes, who scored the winner when these two last met, in attack for the visitors.
