Despite admitting that playing with eight loan players is "tough", Lee Martin insists that there is nothing wrong with the team spirit at Ipswich Town.

Ipswich Town winger Lee Martin has admitted that it is "tough" to adapt to the number of loan players that are currently at the club.

Between former manager Paul Jewell and current boss Mick McCarthy, eight players have arrived at Portman Road on a temporary basis.

Discussing the Suffolk club's current transfer policy, former Manchester United attacker Martin has conceded that it is not ideal.

"It has been tough having eight loan players coming in, that is always tough," he told the East Anglian Daily Times.

However, the 25-year-old has insisted that every player is pulling in the same direction.

"There are always going to be players who are unhappy, but team spirit has always been there," he added. "A lot has been said about the boys who are here permanently not caring, but I can tell you they do.

"Both loan and permanent players have to work together and the manager and TC (assistant manager Terry Connor) are making sure that happens."

The Tractor Boys are currently 23rd in the Championship table.
