Ipswich Town keeper Scott Loach has admitted that he is disappointed after his side failed to beat Preston North End in the FA Cup third round, though remains upbeat at still being in the hat for the next round.
Loach was brought in to the Ipswich starting lineup in place of Dean Gerken, but the stopper couldn't keep out Kevin Davies's effort which cancelled out David McGoldrick's goal.
"We had to work hard for the replay but we expected that because Preston are a good side," Loach told the club's official website. "Fair play to them, they came here and certainly took the game to us and their experienced frontline kept us on our toes.
"We're disappointed we couldn't finish the game off, having taken the lead, but we're still in the hat for the draw and we will look forward to travelling to Deepdale.
"We will obviously be going there to try and win the game to keep our cup run alive and we want to progress to the next round."
Ipswich return to Championship action next weekend when they host Queens Park Rangers at Portman Road.
