Mauro Icardi: 'Age is catching up with Zlatan Ibrahimovic'

Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not the same player as he was at Inter.

Inter Milan forward Mauro Icardi has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not the same player as he was at Inter.

The Argentine believes that Ibrahimovic's best days are behind him but insists that he is still a "top player".

Ibrahimovic made his way to Barcelona after winning three titles in Inter, before leaving the Camp Nou to head back to the San Siro with AC Milan. Since then, the Swedish international has moved on to Ligue 1, where he has won back-to-back league titles with PSG.

"Although he's not the Ibrahimovic that played for Inter, he remains a top player today," the 21-year-old said, according to Goal.com. "But getting older, you play in a more relaxed way."

Icardi followed a similar path to Ibrahimovic, with both players playing for Inter Milan but failing to make an impact during their time at Barca.
