Hull City have announced that striker Shane Long has joined the club from West Bromwich Albion on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
The 26-year-old was expected to complete his switch to the KC Stadium after undergoing a medical yesterday.
"It's a club that's on the up, and I'm delighted to be a part of that," Hull's official Twitter page quotes Long as saying. "I've met all of the lads today, and everybody seems really friendly.
"I'm lucky that I've had a few inside informers letting me know what it's like up here. They all love it up here, and they're excited by what is happening at the club.
"After meeting the manager, and respecting what he's done in the game, I was happy to start a new part of my career here."
The Republic of Ireland international, who is said to have cost Hull £5.5m - which could rise to around £7m - rejected a new contract at The Hawthorns.
