Hull City boss Steve Bruce has admitted that his side got the luck that they deserved in their 2-1 win at home to Queens Park Rangers.
The Tigers eased their Premier League relegation worries on Saturday as a late goal from January signing Dame N'Doye earned them the points against 10-man QPR at the KC Stadium.
The result has moved Hull up to 15th place in the table, four points clear of the drop zone.
"I think it's happened to us five or six times this year when we have conceded late on, so we were due one, that is for sure," Bruce is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
"QPR were resilient. We've seen it often - it is very hard to play with 10 men, but we stuck at it and we got the win in the end. When we did get 2-1 up we had five centre-forwards on the pitch and I though what am I going to do now? It was back to the school days."
Hull are back in action next Saturday when they make the trip to Stoke City in the Premier League.
