Ahmed Elmohamady: 'Hull City must take positives from Chelsea defeat'

Ahmed Elmohamady believes that Hull City should be proud of their performance against Chelsea despite going on to lose the game 3-2.

Ahmed Elmohamady has urged his Hull City teammates to take the positives from their 3-2 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday.

The Tigers fought back from two goals down against the Premier League leaders at the KC Stadium before Loic Remy scored the winner with 12 minutes left.

Despite being on the wrong end of the result, Elmohamady believes that relegation-threatened Hull can be proud of their performance against the title favourites.

"We have to take all of the positives from it into our next game," he told the club's official website. "Of course we were disappointed with the final result, but we showed a great attitude to come back from 2-0 down before half time.

"To do that against the best team in this country and then be disappointed that we didn't go on to win the game with the chances that we had shows the type of performance it was.

"The character and belief was always here and now we have built the confidence to go with that. We're at a tough time in the season now with a lot of tough games coming up. We have to make sure we are confident and concentrating for the next step."

Sunday's result has kept Hull three points above the relegation zone with eight games left to play this season.
