Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell has praised his side for earning a "scrappy" 1-0 win at Wigan Athletic in the Championship.
The Terriers secured their first away victory since October on Saturday as a late goal from Conor Coady saw them leave the DW Stadium with three points.
Powell believes that the dogged way in which his players sealed the triumph will give them plenty of confidence for the remainder of the season.
"We should have had a few clean sheets and we have let ourselves down with one or two sloppy goals, even in games we have won," he told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner. "You need to keep belief in the group and in the team that they can get them.
"It's important for the mentality of the team that we can go away from home and get a scrappy 1-0 win because we haven't had one all season."
Huddersfield are back in action on January 31 when they host Yorkshire rivals Leeds United in the Championship.
