Half-Time Report: Mike Frantz double gives Freiburg the lead

Mike Frantz scores twice as Freiburg take a 2-1 lead in a half time against Hoffenheim.

Mike Frantz scored twice in as many minutes for Freiburg as they took a 2-1 lead in at half time against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

Frantz hit a quick-fire double shortly after the half-hour mark to put his side in the driving seat away from home.

The striker had his first of the evening on 31 minutes when he converted from close range after great work from Maximilian Philipp in the build-up.

The 27-year-old then doubled the lead moments later, but the home side had one back through Tarik Elyounoussi on the stroke of half time.
