Adam Szalai switches to Hannover

Hoffenheim centre-forward Adam Szalai agrees a loan switch to fellow Bundesliga side Hannover.

Hannover have secured the loan services of Hoffenheim striker Adam Szalai until the end of the campaign.

Having made just five appearances for his parent club since August, the 28-year-old has made the switch in a bid to secure his spot in the Hungary squad for this summer's European Championships.

"I'm really excited for this new challenge," the frontman told the club's official website.

"I hope that I can put in some good performances here and put myself in the running for a place in the Hungary squad next summer."

Hannover have the option to purchase Szalai on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
