Granada end Elche's winning run

Granada climb to 11th place in the La Liga table by recording a 1-0 victory at Elche, who had previously won their last three games.

Granada have climbed to 11th place in the La Liga table by recording a narrow victory at Elche.

The only goal of the game was scored on 26 minutes by Manuel Iturra with a well-placed header following Fran Rico's free kick.

Granada were good value for the win and they came close to extending their lead, but Yacine Brahimi was denied by a good save from Manuel Yague.

Elche, who had won three games in a row prior to today, remain 10th.
