Germany defender Mats Hummels is hoping to end the Netherlands' Euro 2012 challenge by defeating them on Wednesday.
Following Denmark's shock 1-0 win over the Dutch on Saturday, defeat to Germany in Kharkiv could see Bert van Marwijk's side eliminated from the tournament with one game remaining.
"Anything but a win could mean they are out so it is one of those classic finals for them," said Hummels.
"For us the only possible answer is that we want to win and take a big step forwards.
"It will be a really intensive game, not just because of the group situation, but also because of our history and healthy rivalry."
Holland have failed to beat Germany in their last three meetings.
