Fulham have announced that midfielder Tom Cairney has signed contract extension at Craven Cottage.
Since moving to the West Londoners in 2015, Cairney has established himself as one of the best players in the Championship and had been tipped to make the step up to the Premier League this summer.
However, he has committed his future to his current club by adding another 12 months to his existing deal with Slavisa Jokanovic's side.
The 26-year-old now has four years remaining on his contract, leaving Fulham in a position where they do not have to sell him unless an interested club are prepared to spend big on the Scotland international.
Last season, he scored 13 goals in 47 appearances in the second tier as Fulham missed out on promotion through the playoffs.
