Kit Symons: 'Bryan Ruiz closing in on Levante move'

Kit Symons confirms that Fulham are awaiting confirmation from FIFA regarding Bryan Ruiz's switch to Spanish club Levante.

Fulham manager Kit Symons has revealed that forward Bryan Ruiz is expected to join Spanish outfit Levante on loan until the end of the season.

The Costa Rica international joined the Cottagers for a fee of £10.6m in 2011, although with his contract up in the summer the club are now looking to offload.

Despite the transfer window in Spain closing on Friday night, the deal could still be completed should it be given the green light by football's world governing body.

Speaking to reporters this afternoon, Symons said: "The paperwork was done on Friday night so we're awaiting confirmation from FIFA to see if it's gone through."

Ruiz has featured 20 times for the Whites this season in all competitions, finding the net on five occasions.
