Fulham striker Danny Hoesen has admitted that he was interested in joining VVV Venlo this summer.
The Eredivisie outfit made three bids for the 21-year-old before ending their pursuit after failing to match the Cottagers' demands.
Hoesen, who spent last season on loan at Fortuna Sittard, has also revealed that Fulham are planning to offer him a new deal.
"I was keen on a move to VVV Venlo," said Hoesen.
"Now I have to wait and see where my future will be. Fulham are interested in extending my contract."
Hoesen's current contract is due to expire later this month, however the club have the option to extend it by one year.
