Report: Fulham sack Ray Wilkins

Ray Wilkins is sacked as Fulham assistant head coach, according to a report.

Fulham have sacked assistant head coach Ray Wilkins following the appointment of Felix Magath as manager, Sky Sports News has claimed.

Wilkins joined Fulham shortly after Rene Meulensteen was handed the first-team reins at the London club, but he has now been deemed surplus to requirements under the new boss.

The report claims that Alan Curbishley, who also joined the club to help Meulensteen, will remain in his role as technical director.

Fulham have yet to confirm whether the Dutchman Meulensteen has been fired, despite appointing the German Magath as manager.

Magath is due to meet the club's staff on Sunday to discuss his plans for the future.
