Fulham will attempt to end their five-year wait for a win over Wolverhampton Wanderers when the two sides face off in Monday's Premier League contest.

Fulham will attempt to end a five-year wait for a win over Wolverhampton Wanderers when the two sides face off on Monday.

Having picked up 12 points from as many games, Fulham head into Monday's fixture in 15th position with three points separating them from their opponents.

Marco Silva's side will be desperate to return to winning ways after losing three and drawing one of their last four Premier League matches.

As a result, the Cottagers have not claimed a top-flight victory since recording a 3-1 home win over Sheffield United on October 7.

Although they will be targeting all three points against Wolves, their recent head-to-head record suggests that may be easier said than done.

After playing out draws in both of their meetings with the Midlands club last season, Fulham have now gone six matches without beating Monday's opponents.

Their most recent victory took place in February 2018 when Ryan Sessegnon and Aleksandar Mitrovic grabbed a goal apiece to record a 2-1 win.

While Fulham have gone five years without a competitive win over Wolves, their wait for a top-flight victory stretches back to 11 years.

Not since cruising to a 5-0 win in March 2012 have the Cottagers got the better of Wolves in a Premier League encounter.

Their hopes of collecting all three points will be dampened by the statistic that they have lost their last six Premier League games to have been played on a Monday night.

The first goal could prove decisive, having won both of the two home league games where they opened the scoring, while they lost their other three home encounters after conceding first.
