West Ham United's Senegalese striker Diafra Sakho has said that he is 'flattered' after being linked with the France national squad.
Sakho was born in Senegal and has made two appearances for his country, with both coming in friendlies.
The 24-year-old is therefore eligible to represent another country and more specifically France, as the striker was a resident since 2007 up until his switch from Metz to the Hammers earlier this year.
"It is flattering to hear that France might be looking at me," the Hammers striker told Goal.com.
"But I am only thinking about West Ham and doing my best for them at the moment and nothing else."
Sakho has been overlooked by the Senegal national team since his debut, with Didier Deschamps reportedly looking to take advantage of the situation as the forward has been in fine form.
