Flamengo have revealed that they have ended their attempts to bring Robinho to the club.
The Brazilian side were in talks with AC Milan in an attempt to sign the forward, but released a statement on their official website saying that the discussions had broken down.
"Flamengo directors Wallim Vasconcellos and Flavio Godinho met on Monday afternoon with Mr. Adriano Galliani in an attempt to bring Robinho to the club," read the statement.
"However, because of the amount requested by Milan, the club believe it is appropriate to abandon the deal and step aside."
It is understood that the former Manchester City man is keen on a move back to his homeland.
