Micah Richards must wait for Fiorentina debut

Micah Richards must wait for his Fiorentina debut after admitting he is not quite ready to face Genoa on Sunday.

Micah Richards must wait for his Fiorentina debut after his loan move from Manchester City.

The 26-year-old made 179 appearances for Manchester City but saw his opportunities in the first team limited with the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini.

Richards told reporters: "I've played very little in recent weeks and I've only had a few training sessions with the group.

"I still need a bit of time in order to be in top condition."

Richards has spent the majority of his career at Manchester City but made the loan switch to Fiorentina to gain first team football in Serie A.
