Steven Berghuis leaves Watford to join Feyenoord on season-long loan

Watford winger Steven Berghuis leaves Vicarage Road to join Feyenoord on loan for the upcoming season.

Watford have announced that winger Steven Berghuis has joined Feyenoord on a season-long loan.

The 24-year-old, who moved to the Hornets from AZ Alkmaar last year, made just 11 appearances in the Premier League last season.

Berghuis could get more minutes under his belt in the Netherlands, particularly as Feyenoord will be competing in the Europa League.

The winger is the fourth player to leave Vicarage Road this summer following the departures of Joel Ekstrand, Josh Doherty, Gabriele Angella and Almen Abdi.
