Fenerbahce reportedly emerge as the new frontrunners to sign out-of-contract Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

Fenerbahce have allegedly moved into pole position in the race to sign out-of-contract Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

A number of Premier League sides have been linked with the 26-year-old as well as clubs in Italy but, according to Sabah reporter Volkan Demir, talks between Wilshere and the Turkish giants are at an advanced stage.

The journalist claims that the England international will be unveiled as a Fenerbahce player early next week.

Wilshere returned to Arsenal last season following a successful loan spell with Bournemouth and appeared to be getting his injury-plagued career back on track.

However, the Gunners recently confirmed that he will be released when his contract expires tomorrow.
