Saturday's League One predictions including Rotherham vs. Birmingham

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's League One fixtures, including Rotherham vs. Birmingham.

Exeter vs. Stevenage (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Stevenage will attempt to clinch a second straight victory when they travel to St James Park for Saturday's League One clash with Exeter City.

Meanwhile, the Grecians will be looking for a positive response after falling to a narrow defeat in their most recent outing against Blackpool.

We say: Exeter City 2-0 Stevenage

Exeter may have lost last weekend, but they tend to perform well in meetings with Stevenage, and we think that they will draw confidence from their impressive head-to-head record to claim all three points in Saturday's contest.

Lincoln vs. Wigan (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Lincoln City will be looking to improve on their shaky home form when they welcome Wigan Athletic to the LNER Stadium on Saturday in League One.

The hosts have lost three home games in three separate competitions already this season, and the visitors come into Saturday's game on the back of a huge away win last weekend.

We say: Lincoln City 2-1 Wigan Athletic

While it is hard to separate these two teams, Lincoln City are unbeaten in their last three league outings and know that a win could see them end the day level on points with Wrexham.

The hosts meanwhile have displayed up and down form so far this season, and even with last weekend's superb showing away at Bristol Rovers, we believe the Imps have enough to just get over the line and take all three points.

Bolton vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

After suffering a heavy defeat to Huddersfield Town, Bolton Wanderers will attempt to produce a positive response when they play host to Reading on Saturday.

The Trotters are languishing in the League One relegation zone with four points to their name, while the Royals are three points better off in 12th spot.

We say: Bolton Wanderers 1-1 Reading

Bolton will be in a downbeat mood after losing three consecutive matches, and we think their lack of confidence may present Reading with an opportunity to take a useful point from Saturday's away fixture.

Burton Albion vs. Barnsley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Draw specialists Burton Albion welcome Barnsley to the Pirelli Stadium in League One on Saturday, when they will look to extend their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions.

It has been a week to forget for the visitors though, with Barnsley having shipped 10 goals in back-to-back league and cup defeats.

We say: Burton Albion 0-1 Barnsley

While recent results suggest that Barnsley might have taken a hit to their confidence after what was a solid enough start to the season, Robinson will be hoping for a response from his players as they look to keep up with the leading pack in League One.

Burton have a proclivity for drawing games at present, but with a few key players still absent for the Brewers, we expect the away side to narrowly take all three points on Saturday.

Charlton vs. Blackpool (Saturday, 3.00pm)

High-flying Charlton Athletic welcome Blackpool to The Valley on Saturday, when the hosts will be looking to continue their stellar start to their League One campaign.

The visitors meanwhile will be looking to make it two league wins out of two under Steve Bruce, as the new manager looks to build momentum with the Tangerines.

We say: Charlton Athletic 2-1 Blackpool

Charlton have been superb defensively this season, and they appear to have a knack of just getting over the line which could once again serve them well this weekend.

While the Tangerines won their first league game under their new manager, it could be a step too far to see them go to the Valley and pick up a result against a Charlton side that are playing with confidence.

Peterborough vs. Bristol Rovers (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Promotion hopefuls Peterborough United will look to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they host Bristol Rovers in League One.

The hosts are winless in their last two league games and the visitors will be looking to right the wrongs of last weekend's home humbling by Wigan Athletic.

We say: Peterborough United 2-0 Bristol Rovers

Peterborough's home form appears to be something of an anomaly given their stellar results on the road so far this season, and considering the Posh won both of their encounters against Bristol Rovers 2-0 last season, recent history is also on their side.

While the Pirates will be hoping to bounce back after consecutive league defeats, we expect Peterborough to have too much on the day for their opponents and ascend towards the playoff places.

Rotherham vs. Birmingham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Birmingham City make the trip to Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon looking to make it five successive victories in League One.

At a time when the big-spenders of the divisions sit in second place in the standings, Rotherham are down in 17th spot with just one win to their name.

We say: Rotherham United 1-2 Birmingham City

Having already defeated Huddersfield this season, Rotherham cannot be written off here. However, Blues are now building up a head of steam and we are backing them to battle their way to another success, even if it is through the odd goal in three.

Wrexham vs. Crawley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

After losing to Birmingham City on Monday, Wrexham will look to return to winning ways when they play host to Crawley Town in Saturday's League One contest.

Crawley will also be hoping to produce a positive response after taking just one point from their previous three league games.

We say: Wrexham 3-1 Crawley Town

Wrexham have won all four competitive home games this season by a combined 11-3 scoreline, and we think they will make full use of their dominance on home turf to sweep past Crawley at the Racecourse Ground.
