Montpellier have increased their chances of playing Champions League football next season with a narrow 1-0 win against Evian Thonon Gaillard in Ligue 1.
Younes Belhanda scored the only goal of what was a tightly-fought encounter at the Parc des Sports.
The 22-year-old latched on to Anthony Mounier's pass inside the Evian penalty area and shot home into the bottom right corner after 80 minutes.
The result sees Montpellier rise up to sixth in the table and are now just four points off the fourth and final Champions League place.
