Report: Everton make opening offer for Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann

Everton reportedly make an £8m bid for Crystal Palace centre-back Scott Dann.

Everton have made an £8m offer to Crystal Palace for defender Scott Dann, according to reports.

The Toffees have regularly been linked with a move for Dann over the last few months as they look to replace Sylvain Distin, who has joined Premier League new boys Bournemouth.

However, The Mirror claims that Palace will tell the Merseyside club that they must double their offer to £16m if they want to be successful in their chase.

Dann joined the Eagles from Blackburn Rovers in January 2014.
