Roberto Martinez: 'We will strengthen in January'

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is looking to add reinforcements to his squad when the transfer window opens next month.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has admitted that he will be looking to strengthen his squad when the January transfer window opens.

The in-form Blues currently sit fifth in the Premier League, and the Spaniard has stated his intentions to bring players to club in the New Year.

Martinez told Sky Sports News: "We're always looking to close the window with a stronger squad than we have before it, and that will never change.

"We're very pleased with our squad as well as some of the younger players further down, but we will use the window to our advantage.

"We've got a clear aim to finish the window as strong as we can and that is always the most important aspect."

Martinez's side travel to Swansea City on Sunday.
