Everton manager Roberto Martinez eyes more signings this summer

Everton manager Roberto Martinez reveals that he is keen to sign "one or two" more players before the start of the season.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that he still wants to sign "one or two" players before the end of the transfer window.

The Toffees have already added four new faces to their squad this summer, including Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea for a club-record £28m.

However, with Bryan Oviedo and Arouna Kone still recovering from injury, Martinez is keen to boost his ranks further ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

"We still need one or two, depending on how quickly Arouna Kone and Bryan Oviedo recover from their injuries," the Spaniard is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

Everton play their final pre-season fixture of the summer today when they meet SC Paderborn 07 in Germany.
