Everton complete Ramiro Funes Mori signing

Everton sign River Plate defender Ramiro Funes Mori for £9.5m on a five-year contract.

Everton have spent £9.5m to bring River Plate defender Ramiro Funes Mori to Goodison Park.

Funes Mori had been linked with a move to Merseyside throughout August, with a fee of £5m being suggested earlier this month.

However, the Toffees have announced that they have parted with almost double that amount for the 24-year-old, who has penned a five-year contract at the club.

Funes Mori, who has earned one senior cap for Argentina, leaves River Plate having helped the South American giants to the Copa Libertadores last season.
