Everton reportedly accept a £1m bid from MLS side New York Red Bulls for Australian Tim Cahill.

Everton have reportedly accepted a bid from New York Red Bulls for Australian Tim Cahill.

The 32-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from Goodison Park, with many overseas clubs in Asia and the Middle East rumoured to be interested in signing the attacking midfielder this summer.

According to BBC Sport, Everton have now accepted a bid of £1m for Cahill, who joined the Toffees from Millwall in 2004.

The Red Bulls already have players with similar top-level experience to Cahill. Former Barcelona players Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez are two that turn out for the club, who are top of the Eastern Conference this season.
