Leighton Baines expected to shake off ankle knock

Everton boss David Moyes expects Leighton Baines to shake off an ankle knock in time for Saturday's Premier League match with Swansea at Goodison Park.

Everton manager David Moyes has revealed that he expects Leighton Baines to be fit for Saturday's Premier League match with Swansea City.

The Scot revealed on Tuesday that the defender had recently been struggling with an ankle injury.

However, the England international should now feature against the Swans at Goodison Park.

"He has got a bit of an ankle injury which we are monitoring," Moyes told reporters. "I expect him to be okay but we have got to watch him."

Everton will start the weekend in fifth place in the Premier League table.
