Everton unsure of Kevin Mirallas injury absence

Everton manager Roberto Martinez reveals that the club will find out how severe Kevin Mirallas's ankle injury is by the end of the week.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that the extent of Kevin Mirallas's ankle injury will be discovered at the end of the week.

The winger was stretchered off during the Toffees' 3-1 win at home to Queens Park Rangers on Monday night.

Mirallas, 27, has scored six goals in 13 appearances so far this season.

"It's clearly ankle damage. We are still doing some tests and nothing is conclusive yet," Martinez is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"He got a really bad knock to his ankle and it was a real disappointment to see him carried off at the end."

Everton are next in action on Saturday when they make the trip to Southampton in the Premier League.
