Half-Time Report: Crystal palace peg back Everton to go in level at interval

Crystal Palace and Everton go into half time level at 1-1 in their Premier League meeting at Goodison Park.

Everton have been pegged back by Crystal Palace to go in all square at half time of their Premier League meeting this afternoon.

Following a fairly quiet start to the contest, the home side upped the pressure and were duly rewarded when Romelu Lukaku put them ahead on 10 minutes.

The striker was picked out by Leon Osman, who was gifted plenty of space, before keeping his composure to slot the ball beyond Julian Speroni.

Palace managed to grow into the game as the first half progressed, although the next real opening nearly fell the way of the Toffees, with Samuel Eto'o looking to slide in Christian Atsu, only for Speroni to cut out the pass.

Mile Jedinak did manage to level up the contest on the half-hour mark, however, converting from the penalty spot after Tim Howard was adjudged to have brought down James McCarthy.

It was the Eagles who came closest to finding a second before the interval, as Yannick Bolasie cut inside before rattling the crossbar with his deflected strike.
