Espanyol 1-2 Levante

Ruben Suarez's goal two minutes from time earns Levante a 2-1 win at Espanyol.

Ruben Suarez came off the bench to give Levante a late 2-1 win at Espanyol.

The visitors were ahead at the break when Valdo slotted in off the post on 24 minutes.

Levante thought that they had salvaged a point when Uche's downward header from Joan Verdu's free kick found the net on 75 minutes.

However, substitute Suarez snatched the win with two minutes left as his fizzing free kick deflected in past the goalkeeper.

The result has moved Levante up to fourth in the La Liga table, while Espanyol remain sixth.
