Patrick Vieira questions English coaching

Patrick Vieira believes that the Premier League needs more modern coaching if England is to succeed on the international arena.

Former Arsenal and Manchester City defensive midfielder Patrick Vieira has insisted that it is the standard of coaching, and not the foreign players in the Premier League, that is responsible for England not succeeding internationally.

New Football Association chairman Greg Dyke said that he wants Premier League teams to start playing more English players, but Vieira is not sure that would help.

"The problem is deeper than just saying there are too many foreigners," BBC Sport quotes Vieira as saying. "The methods in England haven't changed as much as the game has changed."

England are currently top of World Cup qualifying Group H by one point.
