England to begin World Cup qualifying campaign away at Slovakia

Slovakia will play host to England in the opening round of World Cup 2018 qualification fixtures for Roy Hodgson's men.

England will get their World Cup 2018 adventure underway with a trip to face second seeds Slovakia.

The Three Lions' home meeting with Scotland will take place on a Friday night in November 2016, while the return fixture is scheduled for Saturday 10, June the following year.

Roy Hodgson's men will then conclude their qualifying campaign with an away trip to Lithuania on October 8, 2017.

Fellow home nation hopefuls Wales kick things off at home to Moldova, meanwhile, before travelling to second seeds Austria on October 6, 2016.

Chris Coleman's side face a double header against the Republic of Ireland on March 24, 2017, before the return tie in the final round of fixtures seven months later.
