England arrive in Rio de Janeiro

England land in Rio de Janeiro to begin their preparations for the World Cup, with their first game six days away.

Roy Hodgson and his England squad have touched down in Brazil ahead of the start of their World Cup campaign.

The Three Lions flew overnight from Miami following their storm-delayed 0-0 draw with Honduras yesterday evening.

England will be based in Rio de Janeiro, where they will train at a facility near Sugarloaf Mountain.

Their first encounter is six days away in Manaus, which is a five-hour flight from Rio, against fellow European nation Italy.
