Tony Pulis believes that Haryy Redknapp will not leave Tottenham Hotspur to take the England job before the end of this season.

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis has claimed that Harry Redknapp would not leave Tottenham Hotspur before the end of this season.

Redknapp is strong favourite to become the next England manager but Pulis believes that the Tottenham Hotspur boss would want to complete the current campaign.

Pulis said: "I spoke to him the other day and he's desperate for Spurs to do well, so I doubt he'll take it while the season's running."

Despite Pulis's insistence that Redknapp will remain at Spurs for now, he admits that the 65-year-old is the correct candidate to replace Fabio Capello.

"But if the FA think he's the manager to take us further then I think it should all be sorted before the Euros start," the Stoke boss added.

"Everybody believes Harry should have the job."

Stuart Pearce is the current interim manager of the England senior side.
