Mark Noble not giving up on England dream

West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble has insisted that he remains confident of one day playing for England despite his latest snub.

The 27-year-old was left out of Roy Hodgson's 24-man squad for upcoming games with Italy and Lithuania, and was overlooked once more when inexperienced Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason was drafted in to replace Adam Lallana.

Noble, a former captain at Under-21 level, admits that it remains a dream of his but acknowledges that his chances are unlikely.

"I have made it clear what I think about the situation and I would love to play for my country. But obviously at the moment it doesn't look like it is going to happen," he told the Daily Mail.

"I will keep playing as well as I can at West Ham and enjoying it every week. You never know what will happen in the future."

Noble has started 20 Premier League games for the Hammers this season.
