Roy Hodgson is reportedly due to announce his 23-man England squad for the European Championships three weeks ahead of the UEFA deadline.

England manager Roy Hodgson will reportedly announce the 23-man squad he intends to take with him to the European Championships next week.

The 64-year-old, who was appointed the permanent successor to Fabio Capello last week, is believed to have made his mind up on the squad ahead of the official May 29 deadline.

It is understood that the former Liverpool manager has refrained from scouting potential members of the Three Lions squad as he is confident of the final lineup, according to the Daily Star.

Reports have suggested that Hodgson, who will end his tenure with West Bromwich Albion this weekend, will leave out Chelsea captain John Terry, who is due to stand trial over racism allegations targeted at Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand in July.
