Sunday's Serie A predictions including Roma vs. Inter Milan

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Roma vs. Inter Milan.

Empoli vs. Napoli (Sunday, 11.30am)

After posting six wins from seven before the international break, Napoli aim to pick up where they left off in Serie A's Sunday lunchtime contest, as they visit Empoli at Stadio Carlo Castellani.

While the Partenopei have been in scintillating form under new management, their hosts have also responded well to a fresh face in the dugout and are yet to lose a home game.

We say: Empoli 0-1 Napoli

Although Napoli look like a well-oiled winning machine under Antonio Conte, they will have to scrap for all three points in Empoli.

The hosts have started the campaign solidly and have the second-best defensive record so far, meaning their visitors may need to rely on one moment of magic from a talented cast of attackers.

Lecce vs. Fiorentina (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Following a morale-boosting win just before the break, Fiorentina will seek three more points on Sunday afternoon, when they meet Lecce at Stadio Via del Mare.

The Viola toppled AC Milan last time out, while a second straight loss left Lecce uncomfortably close to the Serie A drop zone.

We say: Lecce 1-1 Fiorentina

Notably, Fiorentina have scored the joint-most Serie A goals from set-piece situations this season - averaging one per game so far - and they are very likely to find the net again on Sunday.

Lecce are much tougher to beat on home turf than on the road, though, so the Salentini may be able to hold out for a precious point.

Venezia vs. Atalanta (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Having blown hot and cold so far this season, Atalanta BC will be seeking a third straight win on Sunday, as they visit Venezia at Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo.

Eight goals in two games - in Serie A and the Champions League - helped La Dea end on a high heading into the international break, but their ailing hosts have slipped to the foot of the table.

We say: Venezia 0-2 Atalanta BC

Packed with firepower and full of confidence from their feats just before the break, Atalanta should take care of business against Venezia.

The early evidence suggests that the hosts are in for a scrap to defy the drop, while La Dea are eyeing another top-four challenge.

Cagliari vs. Torino (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Cagliari are nine places behind seventh-placed Torino in the Serie A table heading into Sunday's gameweek eight clash at Unipol Domus.

The Sardinians seemed to find some form before the international break, while their higher-placed opponents went into the hiatus on the back of consecutive losses.

We say: Cagliari 1-1 Torino

Draws have been frequent in matches between Cagliari and Torino, with five of their last ten encounters (including two of the last four) ending in stalemates.

This trend, coupled with the Turin outfit's determination to avoid a third consecutive Serie A loss, points towards another draw in Sardinia.

Roma vs. Inter Milan (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Resuming their quest to defend the Serie A title, Inter Milan visit Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening, when mid-table Roma will seek to kick-start their season following the latest international break.

Inter finished with three straight wins before club football was put on pause, while their hosts continued to search in vain for consistency.

We say: Roma 1-2 Inter Milan

With two more goals on Sunday, Inter would become the first team to score 300 against a single opponent in Serie A - and the reigning champions might just achieve that feat.

The Nerazzurri have yet to lose away from home this season, while Roma are still a work in progress in the early phase of their Ivan Juric era.
