McIntyre's men get the point with two-goal comeback

Hibernian squandered advantage against Dundee at Easter Road.

A two-goal comeback from Dundee saw them earn a draw with Hibernian in the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Genseric Kusunga's own goal and a Ryan Porteous header had the hosts in control of the contest at Easter Road.

However, Kenny Miller and Paul McGowan netted in the space of two minutes either side of the break to earn a 2-2 draw for Dundee.

The result means Neil Lennon's Hibs are in the bottom half of the table after a fifth game without a win.

Lennon made two changes after the defeat against Aberdeen, with Paul Hanlon and Daryl Horgan coming in to the side.

The former had a hand in the opening goal. Just 39 seconds in, Kusunga headed Hanlon's deep cross into his own net.

Jim McIntyre's visitors responded well, with Miller testing goalkeeper Adam Bogdan with a header.

However, Hibs doubled their advantage when Stevie Mallan's free-kick was met with a thunderous Ryan Porteous header.

The hosts had a flurry of chances and should have finished the game off, before Miller gave the visitors hope in added time at the end of the first half.

The veteran striker atoned for his earlier miss with a close-range finish – his second goal in as many games.

McGowan justified his return to the team when he levelled the scores two minutes after the restart.

With the Hibs defence standing off him, McGowan had enough time to cut inside and curl a left-footed effort into the far corner.

The comeback was all the more impressive considering Dundee had scored just two goals in their previous nine games.

After chances for Jesse Curran and Martin Woods, Lennon could see momentum shifting and introduced Marvin Bartley and Thomas Agyepong on the hour mark.

The home side began to improve after the changes, but two low-driven Martin Boyle efforts aside, they struggled to break down the Dundee defence.

Agyepong's comeback was thwarted with five minutes remaining when he was substituted because of injury.

The home side piled bodies forward late on – but McIntyre's men held firm to leave Leith the happier of the two sides.
