Mixu Paatelainen and Ray McKinnon have been installed as the early favourites for the vacant manager's job at Dundee United.
Jackie McNamara was sacked on Saturday evening after United's 2-1 loss to St Johnstone.
Paatelainen is currently unemployed following a spell as Finland manager, and has previously enjoyed successful spells in charge of Cowdenbeath, Hibernian and Kilmarnock.
McKinnon took charge of Raith Rovers at the end of last season and has led the Kirkcaldy club to third in the Scottish Championship table.
Former Rangers manager Stuart McCall has also been linked with the job at Tannadice.
