Derby County are weighing up whether to appoint Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as their new manager, according to a report.
The 39-year-old is thought to have already held talks with second-tier rivals Ipswich Town, only for a move to break down due to a disagreement over personal terms.
Derby are now tempted to move for the ex-England skipper, with The Sun suggesting that the Rams are seeking a stellar name to replace Gary Rowett.
Lampard will be tasked with cutting the club's wage bill, it is claimed, while also challenging for a place in the Premier League.
Rowett walked out on County earlier this week to take on the vacant job at recently-relegated Stoke City.
